Pinteresting Thursday – How to Find, Purify and Store Water

This Pinteresting Thursday is going to take a bit of a twist – not only are these pins ones that I really liked this week – they’re all about water!

If you find yourself in an emergency situation without water stored, did you know there are ways to find drinkable water in your urban environment?

For those of us with no rain gutters, rain barrels for gathering water run off is pretty impossible in the traditional sense – so here’s a great alternative from Instrucibles:

For those of us who are on a budget and a Berkey filter isn’t on our radar, yet, here is a DIY, cheap way to filter water

If you find yourself away from your water stores, and without filters, here is a way to grab a 2litre bottle and purify yourself some water.

Of course, you could use other methods such as a Water Bob, water purification tablets, a Lifestraw or Sawyer personal filter, a Berkey water filter, a Water Brick, or even storing in old 2litre soda bottles or can it in  your unused canning jars. There are many other ways to do these things, but these are pins that stuck out to me this week!
