PQT #10 - Let the light in - bring in those solar landscaping lights in emergencies!

We use our outdoor solar lighting indoors during power outages because they’re always charged and ready to go. I put a few in a flower pot to give great task / spot lighting, and then stick others around the room and rest of the house for ambient lighting for hallways, bathrooms, etc.

The variety of solar lighting is vast now. There are even solar powered fairy lights and security lights and so many other varieties that you can have so much fun finding something that will work for your family!

One of our favorite stockable solar lights is this Luci LED blow up light that doesn’t stay outdoors all the time, but we keep it in a window to keep charged. We can line the window sill up with them and then tuck them away in places if we need to, or they can just store in our emergency bags and charge fairly quickly when the time comes. They’re compact, provide a ton of light and are awesome.
